You have reached the companion site for The Boneyard BBS. A BBS (Bulletin Board System) is what we used back in the 80s and 90s before the Internet was invented. It was how we communicated with each other online, until the internet came and almost completely killed them all.
But, bulletin boards never really died. They went quiet, then people started calling again — not with a modem this time, but with telnet and SSH. The Boneyard is one of those places that you can connect to, with a retro feel, a place with message bases, files, door games, and the kind of conversation that does not refresh itself every twelve seconds.
What is this site?
This website is meant as a place for people to learn more about Bulletin Board Systems and what they are as well as how to connect to my BBS. The BBS is the main draw, this site is more of a small educational hub and a door into the main house, giving you the keys to unlock it and come hang out with us.
